UNQUOWA SUMMER FARM CAMP 2008
Wow- Four weeks of the Unquowa Summer Farm camp has already come and gone. Friday July 18th wrapped up the second year of a fun and successful camp. I was so happy to see many of the smiling faces return another year to experience farm living. We talked about Community Supported Agriculture, seasonal eating in CT, the importance of Honey Bees. They also had the chance to pick zucchini, tomatoes, beans, snap peas and collect an egg from the chicken coop. There was also time for fun, potato sack races, water balloon toss and of course our world famous Zucchini Baseball. It is sad to see the camp end, but I am hopeful that someday the experience they've had here on my farm will help to mold a future farmer. Until next year-Enjoy the rest of your summer!!!!!
WHAT'S GROWING
It' s tomato season!!! Enjoy it now, because it will not last that long this year. Now it the time to purchase our Heirloom varities. If you've never had one, your missing the true taste of summer.
